This would’ve been the perfect trip with an RV. The sites we wanted to go see were all in the same area, but we had to split it up in two days.

Sedona

We drove up to Sedona soon after we landed in Phoenix and had planned on catching the night time light show. Unfortunately, we were super exhausted and our friend E got sick. We ended up picking up some pizza and calling it a night while watching the Star Wars marathon on tv.

But, it doesn’t sound like we missed much – we found out that the light show lasted all but five minutes. We did get a quick peek of Sedona the next morning on our way to the Grand Canyon tho.

We found out that this is the only McDonald’s with a green “M.” I figured it was because Sedona is uber posh and needed McD’s to fit with the background and I was right. We stopped in for some hot chocolate.

Beautiful red rock country

Grand Canyon (South Rim)

The bucket list item was checked off. It was a lot colder than what we were expecting but luckily we were prepared. No photo can do it justice. The sheer size just takes over all your senses.

Meteor Crater
Interstate 40, Exit 233
Winslow, AZ 86047

Though not a national park, the Meteor Crater happened to be one of my faves. The enormity of it and how it happened thousand and thousands of years ago. It was definitely worth the drive.

We definitely want to re-visit Arizona and check out some of the landmarks we couldn’t make it to like Antelope Canyon.
